Dogs have been part of the Goodwood story ever since the first Duke of Richmond acquired the estate in 1697. A century later, the third Duke commissioned what was then the most advanced kennel in the world, complete with central heating – ten years before Goodwood House itself. Today, that legacy lives on in spectacular fashion through Goodwoof, the world’s most stylish celebration of canine companionship.
Some 23,000 guests and 13,000 dogs descended on The Kennels and surrounding parkland for a weekend of curated experiences that honoured the bond between humans and their four-legged friends.
From dog yoga and massage to tarot readings and truffle hunting, Goodwoof had something for every kind of dog lover. Favourites like the Ministry of Hound dog disco and Barkitecture – a kennel design competition featuring creations by top architects – returned to delight crowds again.
As the Official Automotive Partner of Goodwoof 2025, Discovery made a bold impression with the global public debut of Discovery Tempest and Gemini. At the main stand, guests were treated to live caricature sketches of their dogs, a Discovery Trail map filled with photo ops, hydration stations and even a stick library. Completing the trail earned guests a doggie bag of treats.
More than 200 guests took part in the Discovery Drive Experience, where they were chauffeured to the Halnaker Chalk Pit for a thrilling self-drive over natural terrain. Meanwhile, their dogs were pampered in a doggy crèche. This was so popular all slots were booked within 24 hours.
Discovery didn’t forget its existing community. Owners enjoyed priority parking and access to exclusive hospitality, where more than 500 guests relaxed with complimentary refreshments.
Goodwoof 2025 was more than an event – it was a celebration of heritage, innovation and the bond between people and their dogs.
