Land Rover will showcase its entire range of products at this year’s Nampo show in the Free State. Taking place in Bothaville from the 15th – 18th May 2012, Nampo is the largest agricultural show in the southern hemisphere and has evolved into a must-attend event on the automotive calendar.
Land Rover, enjoying a large and loyal customer base amongst the farming and agricultural community, has been involved with the show since 2000.
“Nampo is the largest event of its kind and provides us with the unique opportunity to exhibit as well as demonstrate our vast range of products to the agricultural community,” says Roland Reid, Marketing Director Jaguar Land Rover South Africa.
With thousands of visitors moving through the show grounds over the four-day show period, there is plenty of entertainment on offer ensuring a vibrant and engaging environment for all.
“We are delighted to be able to showcase the entire Land Rover range. The farming and agricultural community already have a passion and fervor for the brand but their needs are particularly specialised and demanding. Nampo provides us with an opportunity to engage with them on each individual products merits specific to their needs,” adds Reid.
In addition to the entire Land Rover and Range Rover ranges being displayed, the Range Rover Evoque, Discovery 4 and Defender will be doing duty on Nampo’s specially configured 4x4 track. The public will have the opportunity to sample the cars on the track and learn some valuable 4x4 techniques at the same time.
“We are very excited to have the Range Rover Evoque on the 4x4 track this year,” comments Reid. “The Evoque has received a great deal of attention for its striking styling, however it is first and foremost a Range Rover and is therefore a capable off-road vehicle.”
Land Rover fans are encouraged to visit the Endangered Wildlife Trust’s (EWT) stand at this year’s show. Land Rover is a longtime supporter of the African Wild Dog, South Africa’s most threatened carnivore with less than 450 of the so-called ‘painted dogs’ remaining in the wild in South Africa. The EWT will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the plight of the African Wild Dog.
On Saturday 28th July 2012 Jaguar Land Rover officially opened its new dealership in Pune, Maharastra, India.
An unusual art exhibition has opened its doors in the heart of Johannesburg with a series of paintings in lipstick.
As demand for the Range Rover Evoque continues around the world, employees at JLR’s Halewood manufacturing plant are celebrating one year of production.
