The most recent Land Rover Adventure program included climbing rocks, descending slopes and dining with VIPs – this year in the challenging terrain and awe-inspiring surroundings of Moab, UT and Telluride, CO.
Land Rover Driving Instructors greeted novice and experienced off-road enthusiasts at the Grand Junction airport in Colorado and set off in a 2012 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport or LR4 to the Sorrel River Ranch in Moab, Utah along the banks of the Colorado River. The group navigated Poison Spider Mesa – a steep learning curve for operating a Land Rover off-road – and the ultimate “slick rock trail,” Hell's Revenge, where Land Rover Driving Instructors taught guests how to conquer climbing and descending near-40-degree slopes of Entrada sandstone.
Those on the eight-day excursion conquered Moab and then took the trip over La Sal pass from the red rock desert of Utah through aspen-lined trails to the high mountain passes of Colorado. Guests took an off-roading break to attend exclusive events and private screenings at the Telluride Film Festival, and then got right back behind the wheel to climb the San Juan Mountains and mining roads at Ophir Pass and Black Bear Pass.
Next year’s Land Rover Adventure is sure to be just as exhilarating, as you spend your days learning to conquer off-road terrain in breath-taking surroundings, and your evenings as our VIP guest at exclusive events with premier service.
