Working Closely With Our Partners
Land Rover works closely with five key conservation partners, actively supporting projects and fundraising activities around the world. We’re proud of our association with Biosphere Expeditions, Born Free Foundation, China Exploration & Research Society, Earthwatch Institute and the Royal Geographical Society, and what we’ve achieved together.
In addition, Land Rover’s association with the Red Cross also goes back a long way. Since November 2007 Land Rover has given over £2.5million worth of support to the Red Cross, Red Crescent Movement, including vehicle donations, funds raised and gifts in kind. The support is ongoing.

Land Rover’s association with the Red Cross also goes back a long way. Since November 2007 Land Rover has given over £2.5 million worth of support to the Red Cross and Red Crescent (Aid) Movement, including vehicle donations, funds raised and gifts in kind. The support is ongoing.
Elephant Ambulance
A specially adapted Land Rover Defender is helping rescue orphan elephants in Sri Lanka. Presented to the Born Free Foundation by Coronation Street actress Helen Worth, the Rescue Vehicle is designed to pick up baby elephants with minimum distress and bring them to the safety of Born Free’s Elephant Transit Home.
Supporting Education
The Born Free Foundation works to inspire children to learn about and respect wildlife, and to look after their environment. In Kenya , a new Land Rover Defender has been given to a team of graduate volunteers from Youth for Conservation (YFC) to help them teach local people about wildlife.
