Taking CO2 Out Of Our Atmosphere
We offset 100% of our manufacturing assembly CO 2 emissions at our UK factories in Solihull and Halewood. In addition, we enable our customers to offset their driving emissions for the first 45,000 miles/72,000km for new Land Rovers sold in participating countries.
Chinese CO 2 Offset Projects
As China has one of the biggest populations in the world it is currently one of the biggest emitters of greenhouse gases which is why 50% of the tones expected from the current portfolio are from Chinese projects and these projects will receive an estimated financial contribution of more than
£5 million.
Wind Energy
Support for wind power generation through carbon finance is particularly important for reasons such as in the global race to replace fossil fuels, in the promotion of vital technology change and in creating a legacy of low carbon energy production for the future.
It's critical to increase investor confidence in this technology and prove the viability of this type of energy production, setting an example for others. It's so important that 37% of the current project portfolio is dedicated to wind projects representing an estimated financial contribution in excess of £3.5 million.

Hydropower
The Land Rover CO 2 Offset Program supports two 7MW hydro electricity generators at Lake Yashilkul. Together these produce up to 94,000MWh of electricity a year (enough for 28,000 UK homes).
