Eight speed Automatic Transmission

The Eight Speed Automatic Gearbox provides smooth transmissions and fast responses combined with improved fuel efficiency. Press the start button and the Drive Select Rotary Shifter rises from the centre console. The driver can also manually select gears via the Paddle Shift controls on the steering wheel.

Command Driving Position

The classic Command Driving Position gives the Range Rover a 90mm height advantage over other premium SUVs. This clear-sighted control and confidence is further enhanced by the sunken bonnet profile for excellent forward vision, plus improved upward vision of overhead traffic lights.

Electronic Cross Linked Air Suspension (with Variable Ride Height)

Multiple modes are provided as standard, including: access, normal on-road, off-road and extended height. A new extra intermediate setting adds greater convenience and improves handling across the vehicle’s breadth of capabilities. Load leveling is automatic.

Terrain Response®

The Range Rover supports driver control and confidence across almost all surfaces and conditions: at the flick of a switch, patented Terrain Response® technology instantly reconfigures transmission, suspension, and traction settings for maximum drivability in almost all conditions. Gradient Acceleration Control prevents excessive speed downhill, and Hill Start Assist prevents the vehicle from inadvertently rolling backwards.

Roll Stability Control (RSC)

Roll Stability Control (RSC) helps the driver to maintain vehicle control and balance. If the system senses that the vehicle is approaching a tipping point, it will reduce engine power and use the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) to help mitigate the chance of a roll-over.

Adaptive Dynamics and Dynamic Response

Advanced, intelligent suspension technologies assist the Range Rover’s performance and achieve consistent driving refinement, on and off-road. Adaptive Dynamics continuously analyse vehicle movements over 500 times per second, reacting instantaneously to road conditions and driver actions. Infinitely variable dampers adjust to maintain a composed and balanced ride.

Dynamic Response (standard for LR-V8 Supercharged), which is available for the first time on a Range Rover vehicle, transforms handling and the comfort for all occupants. Using the latest two channel technology to independently regulate front and rear suspension units, the system dramatically reduces the amount of body lean during cornering and is tuned to deliver increased low-speed agility as well as enhanced control and stability at higher speeds.

Electronic Power Assisted Steering (EPAS)

The Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) system helps to delivers accurate, consistent steering and agile cornering. Power assistance is speed-sensitive so the steering is light and responsive at lower speeds and firmer at higher speeds.

Permanent Four wheel drive (4WD)

Featuring the proven full-time intelligent 4WD system as standard, the Range Rover is the pinnacle of refined capability and performance across all terrains. It has a 50/50 torque split and a two-speed transfer box for high and low range options, helping to maintain traction and stability in challenging conditions on-road, off-road, or when towing.

Electronic Traction Control (ETC)

Electronic Traction Control (ETC) reduces torque to an individual wheel should it lose traction. It then applies braking to the wheel, if required, to maintain grip.

Cornering Brake Control (CBC)

As an active safety system, Cornering Brake Control (CBC) helps to maintain stability when cornering by adjusting the driver’s generated brake pressure.

Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)

Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) helps maintain control in challenging situations by reducing engine torque and applying braking to the appropriate wheel and correcting under-steer or over-steer.

Adaptive Xenon Headlamps (inc Headlamp Powerwash)

Signature design LED lights combine distinctive design with highly practical capabilities: Dynamic Xenon lamps swivel to follow the road, while static bending lamps light the kerbside area in tight bends to give the driver a greater sense of confidence during night-time driving.

Automatic Headlamps with High Beam Assist

Driving at night or in poor visibility is made easier by Automatic High Beam Assist (AHBA). When external light levels dip below a certain threshold, AHBA automatically switches on and headlamps automatically dip for oncoming traffic, reverting when vehicles have passed.

4 Zone Climate Control

A completely new climate control system has been developed for the Range Rover. Tested in punishing real-world conditions with temps from +50 to -40 deg C, optimum luxury and cooling performance has been achieved.

Four-zone system has independent heating and cooling capability in the rear compartment, with temperature setting for all 4 occupants; rear seats have outlets at face level, foot level, and at hip level.

Interior Mood Lighting

The ambience of the interior is enhanced by subtle white LED mood lighting. It provides lighting to the centre console, front and rear footwells as well as a locator light on each door release.

Front Centre Console Cooler Compartment

For the first time the Range Rover offers the option of a cooler compartment in the front centre console armrest.

Heated Leather Steering Wheel

A heated, soft leather steering wheel is available for the ultimate driver comfort in colder climates.

Customer Configurable Interior Mood Lighting

New levels of ambient refinement and personalisation have been reached with the option of customer configurable lighting. Using a combination of coloured LEDs, this feature allows occupants to vary the shade, changing the ambience of the cabin to suit their mood. There are ten colours in total to suit every taste and mood, ranging from Spark Blue through to Ice White and Racing Red.

Power Upper & Lower Trunk/Tailgate

The split tailgate feature is now available with a powered function; remotely from the key fob; or via controls on the tailgate itself. Upper tailgate opening height can be configured for pre-selection. The new split tailgate improves access to the luggage compartment. It also retains usage of the lower tailgate as a seating or standing platform at outdoor events. As a safety function, anti-trap protection helps to ensures that if obstructed the power operation will be interrupted.

Cruise control

For improved fuel efficiency and driver convenience, the cruise control system maintains a constant speed until it is cancelled either using the steering wheel controls or by applying the brakes.

• Rear View Camera

  As one of the Driver Assistance Technologies, providing improved visibility when reversing, the Rear View Camera is a valuable parking aid and offers help when hitching a trailer. Static lines representing the vehicles outer perimeter and predicted path are superimposed on the rearward image, to make parking in tight spots as easy as possible.

Park Assist

Park Assist is available for the first time in the Range Rover and makes light work of parallel parking in tight urban spots. The system identifies a space, prompts the driver to select reverse and automatically steers the car.
This feature is linked to Rear Camera and is not available with Active Rear Locking Differential. For Europe/EU5 markets, it must be ordered with Surround Camera.

Remote Park Heat with Timed Climate

Practical and comfortable, this feature can pre-heat or cool the Range Rover via remote control and 7-day timer. Whether it’s for daily use or a single event up to 16 days ahead, the ideal cabin temperature can be achieved in advance.

Surround Camera System

The Surround Camera System uses five digital cameras, discreetly placed around the vehicle, to provide an almost complete 360 degree view on the Touch-screen. It aids parking and is perfect for more complex driving assignments such as towing a yacht or horsebox.

Along with the capacity to display several different views at the same time, this impressive technology also has the facility to zoom and pan, ensuring objects and angles, normally below line of sight, will be seen.

Towing Assist is included with Surround Camera System. This predicts the trajectory of both vehicle and trailer, working as a guide when coupling a trailer, and providing a recommended path for the vehicle when reversing.

Must be ordered with Auto Dimming Exterior Mirror.

Blind Spot Monitor and Closing Vehicle Sensing

Blind Spot Monitor has been enhanced with Closing Vehicle Sensing. This feature increases awareness during lane-changing manoeuvres by alerting the driver to vehicles that are further behind the Range Rover and closing quickly.

Must be ordered with Auto Exterior Dimming Mirror.

Reverse Traffic Detection with Blind Spot Monitor and Closing Vehicle Sensing

Reverse Traffic Detection is a new feature which warns the driver of vehicles approaching from either side of the rear of the Range Rover during reversing manoeuvres. The system is designed to alert the diver if an obstacle is detected within a three seconds or less ‘time to collision’.

Only available when Blind Spot Monitor and Closing Vehicle Sensing are fitted.

Loadspace Rails and Lockable Cross Beam

Baggage can be safely and conveniently secured with the floor-mounted, flexible load space system, preventing movement of items. The feature includes two floor mounted rails and a flexible band to retain all types of cargo.

Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist with Intelligent Emergency Braking

Two new features are now available with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) for driver convenience and help to further enhance the active safety aspects of the Range Rover. Queue Assist extends the ACC function to allow the vehicle to come to a stop, when it reaches a traffic queue. The Hard Disk Drive (HDD)-based satellite navigation system is easy and intuitive to use. On and off-road capabilities include faster route calculation, greater map coverage, off-road guidance with Waymarking and contour lines display.

Bluetooth® phone connection

Bluetooth® Connectivity helps to keep you in touch while you’re on the move. Phone calls and audio streaming can be achieved through Bluetooth® via the vehicle’s keypad and steering wheel switches.

8-inch Touch-screen

A high-resolution 8-inch Touch-screen is the control and display system for the Range Rover’s infotainment features. Situated in the centre console, the Touch-sceen features clean and contemporary graphics. The virtual buttons create the impression of 3D surfaces and the keys on either side of the Touch-screen provide short-cuts to commonly used screens such as Home, Audio/Video, Nav and Phone. The easy-to-use controls and attractive display are designed to enhance the premium experience.

Voice Control - "Say what you see" Intuitive Voice Control (SWYS)*

Unlike conventional voice control systems, the Range Rover’s advanced ‘Say What You See’ system learns from your past preferences to give you intuitive prompts and suggestions on the commands you’re most likely to use next. Prompts are displayed on the Touch-screen. The system can be ‘trained’ to recognise the accents of regular users and controls a full range of functions including: navigation, radio/satellite, radio/DAB, iPod®/USB/Auxiliary connections, CD and virtual CD multiplayer, Display and Notepad.

Full TFT / LCD instrument cluster

The 12.3-inch virtual instrument panel uses state-of-the-art, high-resolution display technology and the latest colour graphics for clear communication of the main vehicle functions and data. With elegant virtual dials that appear to be 3D chrome it can be tailored to display only information that is relevant to the current driving situation.

Meridian Sound System (380W)

The Range Rover offers state-of-the-art audio systems developed by Meridian*, global leaders in digital signal processing and audio technologies. This 380 Watt system has 13 loudspeakers and 12 channels, including a dual channel subwoofer, that are placed in ideal positions around the car for highly optimised sound quality.

The centrepiece of the facia is the 8-inch high-resolution Touch-screen that's available with the dual view system. This allows the driver and passenger to view completely independent display content, for example, the driver can use the Satellite Navigation system, while the front seat passenger is able to watch a DVD or TV. One set of WhiteFire® digital wireless headphones is included.

The Range Rover offers state-of-the-art audio systems developed by Meridian*, global leaders in digital signal processing and audio technologies. This 825 Watt system has 19 loudspeakers and 16 channels, including a dual channel subwoofer, that are placed in ideal positions around the car. Whilst all sound systems offer highly optimised sound quality, the 825 Watt system incorporates Meridian Trifield** technology that effortlessly blends the centre channel with front and left channels to create a concert-like experience for all occupants.
