INTELLIGENT STOP/START

Our new intelligent Stop/Start system helps improve economy by up to 10.7% (6.7 l/100km) on the combined cycle and reduces CO2 by up to 7.7% (179 g/km) compared to the previous model. Freelander 2 is the world's first SUV to feature this technology and it is standard on all diesel manual models. The engine stops, in appropriate conditions, when the vehicle is brought to a halt. In traffic, at road works or waiting for a signal, Stop/Start saves fuel that would otherwise be used up when stationary.
