For the second year running, the Freelander 2 has been named Best Compact 4x4, and ´Best Buy´ in its price category.

Association of Scottish Motoring Writers President Stephen Park said: "Ultimately, one 4x4 impressed the judges more than all the rest. Winning by a bigger margin than any other category winner, our choice looks good, feels good and has real pedigree breeding."

Caravan Club's 25th Towcar of the Year Award 2007 – Best Towcar over £32,000.
Judges said: "It copes easily with hill starts and descents and on the flat you won't find the Freelander put off its stroke by gusty crosswinds. It is a worthy winner of the top price class."
