DRIVING TECHNOLOGY
Supreme breadth of capability is a hallmark of The Range Rover. Land Rover´s advanced engineering and superior driving technology has created a sophisticated on-road vehicle with refined, precise handling for both everyday driving and long-distance journeys. Further innovations ensure The Range Rover offers better on-road performance than ever before, both in handling and straight-line speed. An equally sophisticated off-road capability over all terrains and under all conditions means the pinnacle of the Land Rover range moves even further ahead.
Terrain response™

No one knows more about off-road driving than Land Rover, and we´ve built that vast experience into our unique Terrain Response™ system. Rest assured, driving with confidence over challenging terrain has never been easier - just turn the dial to the appropriate icon and, whether you´re cruising on tarmac, driving over deep ruts, grass, snow, mud or sand, experience total comfort and control. As soon as you turn the dial, the engine, transmission, suspension and Traction settings are all reconfigured to deliver the optimum performance.
Electronic ´e´ differential
All models have a new electronic centre ´e´ differential and a new electronic rear differential is standard on the Supercharged and optional on other derivatives to ensure all available grip is utilised to the maximum.
Sharper speed-sensitive power steering
The Range Rover´s speed-sensitive power steering and effortless performance gives the driver confidence whatever the road conditions. When parking or manoeuvring at low speeds, steering response is ´quick´. At higher speeds the steering response is more gradual to ensure the driver retains maximum control, while still enjoying a relaxed driving experience.

The acclaimed interlinked electronic Air suspension is standard across the range, providing The Range Rover with an enormous breadth of capability and comfort. It has height settings for extreme off-road use and an access mode for easier entry and exit.  The suspension copes effortlessly with a wide range of vehicle loads and its self levelling feature gives outstanding handling and vehicle composure.

Electronic Traction Control (ETC)
Four-wheel Electronic Traction Control monitors individual wheel speeds and helps ensure that drive is distributed to the wheels with the best grip. When a wheel starts to spin, ETC sends braking pulses to slow it down, improving its grip and boosting the Torque applied to the opposite wheel.

Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)
Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) provides safe handling when accelerating or cornering and includes compensation for trailers. It constantly monitors key indicators and applies the ABS braking system selectively to individual wheels to correct any tendency to deviate from your chosen line.

Impressive towing capabilities
The Range Rover is a highly capable towing vehicle, thanks to its impressive 3500kg maximum towing capacity and the fact that it can automatically detect when a trailer is coupled, accommodating up to a maximum 150kg nose weight on the tow hitch. Ride and handling systems like Dynamic Stability Control also take the trailer´s weight into account should they need to correct any deviation from your chosen driving line.
