Royal Geographical Society (with IBG)
The Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers) is a learned society, professional body and charity representing geography and geographers.

The Society supports teaching and geographical learning, and the education of people of all ages for life as local and global citizens in a rapidly changing world. It does this through a programme of research about our world´s environments and societies; supporting geographical education at school, college and university as well as learning in the real world about real places, especially by young people.

The Society´s public engagement programme includes lectures, conferences and courses on geographical issues; it advises government and others and its aim is to promote informed debate, information sharing and the wider enjoyment of geography by all.

Biosphere Expeditions
Biosphere Expeditions is an award-winning, not-for-profit organisation running wildlife expeditions for people wishing to do something active and altruistic in conservation. Expeditions are not tours for eco-tourists but genuine wildlife projects placing ordinary citizens to work alongside scientists in the field.
China Exploration and Research Society
The CERS is active in preserving fragile environments and endangered wildlife. The society has worked on preserving the rare Black-necked Cranes for many years and work has just started on the snub-nosed Monkey in the Tibetan region.  Their work embraces cultural conservation projects such as preserving fragile Buddhist murals and helping the matrilineal Moso people´s culture and architecture. Most famously CERS were credited with the discovery of a new source of the Yangtze River. Understanding the link between driver, vehicle and terrain not only allows CERS to collaborate with some of the world´s most exciting conservation teams; it gives them access to corners of the globe most people never see.
