Static lines representing the vehicle's outer perimeter and predicted path are superimposed on the rearward image.
-

Surround Camera System
The Surround Camera System uses five digital cameras, discreetly placed around the vehicle, to provide an almost complete 360 degree view on the Touch-screen. It aids parking and is perfect for more complex driving assignments such as towing a yacht or horsebox.
Along with the capacity to display several different views at the same time, this impressive technology also has the facility to zoom and pan, ensuring objects and angles, normally below line of sight, will be seen.
Towing Assist is included with Surround Camera System. This predicts the trajectory of both vehicle and trailer, working as a guide when coupling a trailer, and providing a recommended path for the vehicle when reversing.
Also available as an option are Approach Lamps (located in the door mirrors). A feature which is standard on Supercharged vehicles. -
Keyless entry
Optional keyless entry means the days of fumbling for keys are over. The driver is now able to access and lock/alarm the vehicle without the need to take the remote smart key out of a bag or pocket. The vehicle is automatically unlocked and the immobiliser deactivated when the smart key comes within close proximity. Similarly, using the buttons on the door pull, the vehicle is locked, alarmed and immobilised.
-
Privacy glass
Privacy glass allows rear seat passengers to travel more discreetly and provides increased security by restricting vision into the cabin. It reduces UV light transmission, making the vehicle a safer, more pleasurable place to be. Privacy glass also keeps temperatures at a lower level in hot climates, enabling the vehicle's air conditioning system to improve efficiency and performance.
-
Xenon Adaptive Front Lighting
With Gloss Black inners for a more jewel-like appearance, Range Rover Sport front lamps make optimum use of Xenon and LED technology, offering 'automatic on' functionality and directional lighting. Aesthetically pleasing, the 'concentric circle' headlamp design communicates an immediately recognisable, striking personality.
The Cornering Lamps broaden the beam of the headlamps when cornering during normal night driving.
The whiter light from the Xenon headlamps, combined with adaptive front lighting, provides exceptional illumination that also moves with the vehicle's pitch and steering direction. -
Automatic High Beam Assist
To make night driving an altogether more relaxing experience, the front lamps on Range Rover Sport incorporate Automatic High Beam Assist (AHBA). For instance, the high beam headlamps can automatically switch on when external light levels dip below a certain threshold. Importantly, AHBA is also designed to detect preceding and approaching traffic, and will alternate between high and dipped beams to avoid dazzling others.

DRIVING AND TRANSMISSION
DRIVING AND TRANSMISSION
The sophisticated, fully adaptable high tech transmission actually responds to driving style and driving conditions by reconfiguring shift patterns, as appropriate, for optimum driveability in all situations. This means better response and smoother more efficient gear changes as well as improving economy.
- As Standard with this model of Range Rover Sport

-
Steering wheel mounted paddle shift
Steering wheel mounted gearshift paddles are standard on diesel in EU5 markets with TDV6 155kW and SDV6 188kW engines. Intuitively positioned at the driver's fingertips, they deliver a more sporty and engaging drive.
- Front and rear split differential

Active rear locking differential
This senses any loss of traction from the wheels and compensates by automatically locking the differential to maintain momentum.
SUSPENSION AND STEERING
SUSPENSION AND STEERING
Fitted across the range, four corner air suspension helps ensure the vehicle is optimised for a responsive ride, handling, and balance. Combined with steering that's nimble at slow speeds and more weighted at high speeds, there's a greater feeling of control and stability.
- As Standard with this model of Range Rover Sport
-
Four corner air suspension with Terrain Response®
Four corner air suspension allows the suspension to be raised or lowered manually as well as guaranteeing a constant ride height regardless of load. It works with Terrain Response® technology to help the driver confidently conquer gravel, grass, snow, rocks, and tarmac. By simply switching the conveniently positioned control to the appropriate icon, the engine, transmission, suspension, and traction settings are instantly reconfigured for optimum driveability. The Terrain Response® system includes Dynamic Programme (standard on LR-V8 Supercharged and optional on LR-SDV6 models), which can provide more performance-orientated responses to driver input by remapping steering, throttle and gearbox settings. This driving technology includes Gradient Acceleration Control and Hill Start Assist. Gradient Acceleration Control has been designed to prevent situations where the vehicle might accelerate too quickly on a steep gradient (and Hill Descent Control has not been selected), thereby allowing the driver time to regain control. Hill Start Assist automatically releases brake pressure on a steep gradient and helps prevent the vehicle from inadvertently rolling backwards.
On Supercharged models as standard the Terrain Response® system includes a sixth option, Dynamic Program, which gives a sportier on-road focus to the vehicle's settings.
Additionally, this technology includes the Sand Launch Control system. This is designed to help prevent wheel spin and the vehicle 'bellying out' when moving off from a standstill. Once the vehicle reaches the appropriate speed, the slip thresholds are increased to help maintain progress. -
Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)
Cutting-edge technology that gives additional peace of mind. Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) provides enhanced handling when accelerating or cornering and compensates for the towing of trailers.
This advanced technology constantly monitors key indicators and applies the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) selectively to individual wheels, helping to correct deviations from the driver's chosen line. -
Roll Stability Control (RSC)
While no technology can remove the need for safe driving practice, the Roll Stability Control (RSC) system can help the driver to maintain vehicle control and balance. RSC works in conjunction with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) to try to reduce the likelihood of vehicle roll-over. If the system senses that the vehicle is approaching a tipping point, it will reduce engine power and use the ABS to help reduce the chance of roll-over.
-
Four-wheel Electronic Traction Control (ETC)
The four-wheel Electronic Traction Control (ETC) monitors individual wheel speeds and helps distribute drive to the wheels with the best grip. If a wheel starts to spin, ETC sends braking pulses to slow it down, improving its grip and boosting the torque applied to the opposite wheel to reduce vehicle speed.
-
Four Channel All Terrain Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) - with all round ventilated disc brakes
-
Hill Descent Control (HDC) with Gradient Release Control (GRC)
Land Rover's patented Hill Descent Control (HDC) technology utilises the vehicle's ABS system to control the vehicle's downhill acceleration on a steep gradient. Gradient Release Control (GRC) is an additional function that further improves control over difficult descents. It does this by varying the brake pressure to achieve the desired acceleration, helping to compensate for changes in gradient.
Range Rover Sport features an added enhancement: engaging the HDC/GRC system whenever the vehicle detects a sharp gradient. For example, if there's a loss of traction or braking power, or over-acceleration as the vehicle goes down a steeper slope, the brake pressure is automatically adjusted to achieve a target rate of acceleration.
- Options and Upgrades for this model of Range Rover Sport
-
Adaptive Cruise Control
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Advanced Emergency Brake Assist (AEBA) uses radar to scan the road 10 times a second. This optional technology helps make for a more relaxing, more comfortable journey.
ACC will automatically match the pace of the vehicle ahead, settling down behind it and maintaining one of four cruise gap distances set according to the driver's preference. Forward Alert gives an audio and visual alarm when the distance to the vehicle in front decreases.
If AEBA detects a possible collision, it prepares for emergency braking. It further assists the driver as they brake by applying full-force ABS stopping power, even if the pressure on the pedal is light.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
SAFETY AND SECURITY
Like every Range Rover Sport, Autobiography Sport possesses a highly rigid body with a low centre of gravity and energy-absorbing crumple zones. It offers impressive levels of safety and occupant protection. Dynamic Stability Control monitors wheel speed and steering angle to help make cornering safer and more stable. Roll Stability Control operates progressively to help reduce the likelihood of the onset of a rollover situation. And of course ABS, in the form of four channel, all terrain anti-lock braking, is fitted. While for added peace of mind there is a total of six airbags, including side curtains. Autobiography Sport also features Land Rover’s legendary command driving position, which gives better visibility of the road ahead for earlier recognition of hazards and helps during manoeuvring and parking.
- As Standard with this model of Range Rover Sport
-
Airbags
Range Rover Sport features six airbags, with the front row having side thorax and front airbags, side curtain airbags are also fitted covering front and rear rows. The vehicle displays real strength in impact tests, thanks to its hydroformed frame design and advanced engineering.
-
Auto lock on drive away
Auto Lock on Drive Away can be switched off to suit personal preference
-
Electric Parking Brake (EPB)
The Electric Parking Brake is easily engaged through a button on the central console, and can be released manually or simply by driving away.
-
Trailer Stability Assist
When you hitch a trailer to your vehicle, the Trailer Stability Assist technology automatically detects its presence. At speeds at or over 60km/h, the sensors monitor the behaviour of the trailer. Should any swaying or oscillation occur, the system uses selective braking of the appropriate wheels to help correct any potential problem.
- Remote control locking
- Perimetric Alarm
- Emergency Brake Assist (EBA)
- Centrally mounted high stop lamp in rear spoiler
- Options and Upgrades for this model of Range Rover Sport
-
Volumetric Alarm
Even though the Range Rover Sport is equipped with some of the most advanced security technology available, it is still reassuring to know that it possesses a sophisticated, multi functional alarm system as a deterrent: volumetric alarm (against intrusion), tilt sensor (to help prevent theft by towing) as well as a Sounder backed by a separate integrated battery.
