Terrain Response® with Dynamic Program

Range Rover Sport

More experience. The Terrain Response® system incorporates over 60 years of Land Rover four-wheel drive expertise and state-of-the-art dynamic technology.

Terrain Response® is like having your own driving expert in the new 2010 Range Rover Sport's at all times. By simply turning the more conveniently positioned dial to the appropriate icon, the engine, transmission, suspension and Traction settings are instantly reconfigured for optimum driveability in all conditions. On Supercharged and LR-TDV8 models, the Terrain Response® system now includes a sixth option, Dynamic Program, which gives an on-road focus to the vehicle's settings for more engaging driving.

This technology now takes a further step forward and includes the new Sand Launch Control system designed to help prevent wheel spin and the vehicle 'bellying out' when moving off from a standstill. Once the vehicle reaches the appropriate speed, the slip thresholds are increased to help maintain progress.

Just turn the dial, and Terrain Response® will help you inch over rocks and boulders, glide through soft sand and grip snow and ice. It adopts the most appropriate settings for the many advanced electronic controls and Traction aids, ensuring that the more difficult conditions are more easily managed.
