Rear Park Distance Control (PDC)
Rear Park Distance Control (PDC) is standard on Range Rover Sport, and where front sensors are fitted, these, too are activated automatically when reverse is selected. To further aid ease of parking, a Rear View Camera, where fitted, is integrated into the rear spoiler, which automatically displays a wide-angle colour view on the Infotainment Touch-screen. Static lines representing the vehicle's outer perimeter and predicted path are superimposed on the rearward image.
-
Front Park Distance Control
Front Park Distance Control is available as standard on the Range Rover Sport. When reverse is selected, four ultrasonic sensors in the front bumper are activated automatically (with the rear sensors). The audible warning tones help you to manoeuvre when parking, and when driving forward into a limited space the system can be operated manually.
-

The Rear View Camera displays the view from the back of the vehicle on the Infotainment screen. To make parking as easy as possible, dynamic lines representing the vehicle's outer perimeter and predicted path are superimposed on the rearward image.
-
Keyless Entry
Keyless entry means the days of fumbling for keys are over. The driver is now able to access and lock/alarm the vehicle without the need to take the remote smart key out of a bag or pocket. The vehicle is automatically unlocked and the immobiliser deactivated when the smart key comes within close proximity and the driver operates a door handle. Similarly, using the buttons on the door pull, the vehicle, is locked, alarmed and immobilised.

Along with the capacity to display several different views at the same time, this impressive technology also has the facility to zoom and pan, ensuring objects and angles, normally below line of sight, will be seen.
Towing Assist is also included with Surround Camera System. This predicts the trajectory of both vehicle and trailer, working as a guide when coupling a trailer, and providing a recommended path for the vehicle when reversing. -
Privacy glass
Privacy glass allows rear seat passengers to travel more discreetly and can provide increased security.

Aesthetically pleasing, the 'concentric circle' headlamp design communicates an immediately recognisable, striking personality.
The Cornering Lamps broaden the beam of the headlamps when cornering during normal night driving.
The whiter light from the Xenon headlamps, combined with adaptive front lighting, provides exceptional illumination that also moves with the vehicle's pitch and steering direction. -

Driving and Transmission
Driving and Transmission
The sophisticated, fully adaptable high-tech transmission actually responds to driving style and driving conditions by reconfiguring shift patterns, as appropriate, for optimum driveability in all situations. This means you’ll enjoy a better response, smoother and more efficient gear changes, as well as improved economy.
- As Standard with this model of Range Rover Sport
-
8-speed automatic gearbox and Drive Select (EU5 Diesel markets only) with Paddleshift, revised Terrain Response Optimization Control and Emergency Park Brake (EPR)
-
Adaptive cruise control with forward alert
Adaptive Cruise Control with Forward Alert uses radar to scan the road ahead and detect the speed and distance of vehicles in front. Once a cruise speed is selected, the system will maintain this speed until a slower vehicle in front is detected. It will then reduce the vehicle's speed to maintain a constant time gap between the vehicles, until the slower vehicle moves away, at which point the set cruise speed will automatically be resumed.
-
Steering Wheel Mounted Paddle Shift
Steering wheel mounted gearshift paddles are standard on diesel in EU5 markets with TDV6 155kw and SDV6 188kw engines. Intuitively positioned at the driver's fingertips, they deliver a more sporty and engaging drive.
- Two-speed electronic transfer box

Suspension and Steering
Suspension and Steering
Fitted across the range, four corner air suspension helps ensure the vehicle is optimised for a responsive ride, handling, and balance. Combined with steering that's nimble at slow speeds and more weighted at high speeds, there's a greater feeling of control and stability.
- As Standard with this model of Range Rover Sport
-
Four-corner air suspension with Terrain Response®
Four corner air suspension allows the suspension to be raised or lowered manually as well as guaranteeing a constant ride height regardless of load. It works with Terrain Response® technology to help the driver confidently conquer gravel, grass, snow, rocks, and tarmac. By simply switching the conveniently positioned control to the appropriate icon, the engine, transmission, suspension, and traction settings are instantly reconfigured for optimum driveability. The Terrain Response® system includes Dynamic Programme (standard on LR-V8 Supercharged and optional on LR-SDV6 models), which can provide more performance-orientated responses to driver input by remapping steering, throttle and gearbox settings. This driving technology includes Gradient Acceleration Control and Hill Start Assist. Gradient Acceleration Control has been designed to prevent situations where the vehicle might accelerate too quickly on a steep gradient (and Hill Descent Control has not been selected), thereby allowing the driver time to regain control. Hill Start Assist automatically releases brake pressure on a steep gradient and helps prevent the vehicle from inadvertently rolling backwards.
On Supercharged models the Terrain Response® system includes a sixth option, Dynamic Program, which gives a sportier on-road focus to the vehicle's settings.
Additionally, this technology includes the Sand Launch Control system. This is designed to help prevent wheel spin and the vehicle 'bellying out' when moving off from a standstill. Once the vehicle reaches the appropriate speed, the slip thresholds are increased to help maintain progress. -

And of course ABS, in the form of four channel, all-terrain anti-lock braking, is fitted. While for added peace of mind there is a total of six airbags, including side curtains. Range Rover Sport also features Land Rover's legendary command driving position, which gives better visibility of the road ahead for earlier recognition of hazards and helps during manoeuvring and parking.
