Exterior Mirrors – power-folding with memory function
These advanced, heated mirrors come with ‘auto dimming’ which detects excessive light and glare then automatically darkens the mirror glass to improve vision. They are also power-folding to avoid damage when parking in confined spaces and 'auto dipping' in reverse gear. Downward lighting ‘puddle’ lamps project an illuminated Range Rover graphic on the ground, to light your way.
The mirrors are also equipped with a memory function. Once you set your ideal seating and mirror positions, it automatically recalls your preferred driving position settings. -

The responsive six-speed automatic transmission – standard on petrol, optional on the SD4 diesel engine – features Drive Select, an advanced rotary gearshift, which rises up to ‘handshake’ the driver when the engine is switched on. For even greater driver involvement, paddle shift controls on the steering wheel allow you to change gear manually, when you choose to.
Diesel models are also available with a manual six-speed transmission, featuring intelligent Stop/Start function.

Choose the powerful and refined 2.2-litre turbo-diesel with manual transmission and you’ll benefit from the intelligent Stop/Start function. This works by automatically switching off the engine whilst stationary, which can reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 8 percent.
The manual gear lever is tactile and beautifully crafted with a noble-plated top and Oxford leather and stitching.

The system holds the car on inclines long enough for the driver's foot to move from brake pedal to accelerator, without the car rolling backwards and without needing to engage the handbrake.

EPAS (Electric Power Assisted Steering)
The meticulously tuned EPAS (Electric Power Assisted Steering) system delivers accurate, consistent steering and agile cornering. Power assistance is speed-sensitive so the steering is light and responsive at lower speeds and firmer at higher speeds.
Compared to conventional power steering systems, EPAS is much more responsive and energy-efficient. It can also reduce your CO2 emissions by 3 percent and will help reduce your fuel consumption. -

HDD Navigation System
Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Navigation provides premium navigation, Traffic Message Channel (TMC), where available, information and mapping using the full colour 8 inch Touch-screen. You can enter a destination either by address, full postcode or by Points of Interest. The system delivers faster operating speed and greater data storage than CD/DVD-based systems and supports map updates via your dealer's electronic service systems.
The system also allows you to store up to 10 uncompressed music or data CDs on the hard drive. -
‘Say What You See’ (SWYS) intuitive Voice Control
Unlike conventional voice control systems, Range Rover’s advanced ‘Say What You See’ system learns intuitively from your past behaviour. So it can give you helpful prompts in the instrument cluster display of the commands you’re most likely to use next. We take our responsibility to the environment very seriously with an integrated and innovative strategy we call Our Planet. Our plan is simple; to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels and the production of man-made CO2 emissions, to use fewer resources and create less waste.
We do this by investing in four key areas areas designed to reduce our carbon footprint, support conservation and humanitarian collaborations and includes one of the world’s most comprehensive CO2 offset programmes.

CO2 Offsetting
Investing in renewable energy, technology change and energy efficiency projects. As well as offsetting CO2 emissions from the manufacturing assembly of Range Rover and Land Rover vehicles, our programme means customers can also offset the first 45,000 miles of driving their new Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles.

e_TERRAIN TECHNOLOGIES
A joint £800m investment into new technologies designed to reduce CO2 emissions and improve fuel consumption. We are targeting a 25 percent reduction in joint fleet average tailpipe CO2 emissions by 2015, as part of our carbon management plan. Range Rover Evoque has been accredited to ISO14040, a whole life assessment that measures the vehicles environmental impact from manufacturing to use.

Sustainable Manufacturing
World class manufacturing facilities, certified to ISO14001 since 1998. As a company we are targeting a 25 percent reduction in operating CO2 emissions by 2012, 25 percent in waste to landfill and 10 percent in water consumption, based off 2007 levels. Our initiatives include factory energy efficiencies, cutting transport miles and offsetting all CO2 emissions from manufacturing assembly process.
