Complaints

Terms & conditions
We will not seek to alter the terms & conditions applying to your agreement. Any variation could only take place by agreement in writing between us.
Interest
Interest is calculated on a flat rate basis applied to the amount borrowed. It is charged to your account at inception. Interest and capital are then repaid in instalments over the period of the agreement.
Customer information & data protection
You consent to us disclosing details of your application and how you conduct your account (including any default) to the Credit Reference and Fraud Prevention Agencies. This information may be used to help us and other organisations (a) to assess the financial risks of dealing with you and other members of your household, (b) to help make decisions on motor, household, credit, life and other insurance proposals and insurance claims, (c) to administer agreements and insurance policies with you, (d) to help prevent or detect fraud, prevent money laundering or other crimes, recover debts and trace debtors, and (e) for statistical analysis about credit insurance and fraud.
If you have requested payment protection insurance we may pass information about you to Sterling Insurance Group Ltd and related companies, or to any other organisation approved by us, to enable them to arrange and administer the requested plan and for the purpose of underwriting, claims handling and fraud prevention (which could include passing details to other insurers).
Please telephone us on 0871 522 5603* if you want details of those Credit Reference and Fraud Prevention Agencies from whom we obtain and to whom we pass information about you. You have a legal right to these details. You have a right to receive a copy of the information we hold about you if you apply to us in writing. A fee will be payable. Please address your request to the Data Protection Officer at the address on your agreement letter.
Personal records
You have a right, under the Data Protection Act 1998, to access personal records held by us on computer files. If you wish to see this information, please write to the Data Protection Officer at the address on your agreement letter and include a cheque for £10.
Support services & default charges
The company reserves the right to make the following service charges to your account:
Change of due date (by more than 5 days) £25 (inc. VAT)
Revision of terms £50 (inc.VAT) maximum
Late or partial payment* £26 maximum
Extension of agreement £35 (inc. VAT)
Issue of payment book £25 (inc. VAT)
*This charge may be levied on all rejected cheques or missed direct debits, including replacement payments, or as a consequence of a payment being missed in part, or in full, for any other reason.
Use of external agents £500 (inc. VAT) maximum
Novation agreement £250 (inc. VAT)
Change of registration £50 (inc. VAT)
Cancellation fee £100 maximum
Collection of Voluntary Terminated Vehicles £70 (inc. VAT)
These charges are subject to variation and a copy of any subsequent variation is available on request.
