Land Rover has today announced the that it is to continue as title sponsor to The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials for a further three year term – up to and including 2013. The British manufacturer of the world's most versatile SUVs has been the title sponsor of the Event since 2005.
Land Rover supplies in excess of 60 vehicles to support the Event in a number of areas including: fence judging, first aid, ground preparation and shuttle services.
“We are extremely excited to have Land Rover on board with us for another three years,” said Burghley director Elizabeth Inman. “We have benefitted enormously from this partnership and backing, which over the years has helped us maintain Burghley’s reputation as one of the world’s leading four star events whilst at the same time supporting the sport in the UK. It is very fitting that this year we have a top-class field of international entries that will ensure four exhilarating days of eventing.”
“The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials is one of the highlights of the equestrian calendar,” added Anthony Bradbury, marketing director of Land Rover UK. “Having established our relationship with the Event way back in the early 1990's, it became clear that the partnership is a natural fit. Where better then for us to showcase our 4x4 vehicles and the long-established Land Rover affiliation to the countryside than at one of the world’s major three-day-events, in one of the most magnificent historical parkland settings.”
