SAFETY AND SECURITY
The Range Rover is reassuringly advanced in terms of safety. This powerful and sophisticated vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive network of active safety aids that constantly monitor vehicle performance and take appropriate measures when required. Thanks to extensive computer analysis and testing, The Range Rover achieves higher and more impressive levels of safety.
The Range Rover´s acclaimed Command driving position provides its drivers with an elevated, confidence inspiring view of surrounding traffic. The improved visibility afforded by the Command driving position also means potential hazards can be easily sighted.
Monocoque body
The Range Rover´s advanced monocoque body with integrated chassis construction ensures an impressive ride, steering feel and straight-line precision for safe, predictable driving.
Double-locked doors
The Range Rover´s doors can be double locked for added security, disabling the interior door handles to prevent the doors being opened from the inside. Radio-frequency handsets with rolling codes offer a further layer of security.
Enhanced Airbags and seatbelts
Front, head and side airbags are fitted as standard for driver and front passenger, with head airbags for rear outboard passengers too.  An enhanced airbag strategy relocates the side airbags, formerly in the doors, to the seats, to improve protection in the event of a side impact.  A driver´s side inflatable knee bolster is also added to all models. The passenger front airbag has been redesigned and the new glovebox lid has been also been designed to act as a knee bolster in the event of an accident.
Active headrests
The new front seats feature active headrests, incorporating an Integrated Whiplash Protection System that moves the headrest forward during an accident that is likely to cause whiplash injuries, such as low-impact vehicle collisions.

ABS brakes and Emergency Brake Assist

Active safety features include a number of advanced braking aids. A combination of ABS brakes and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) provides outstanding control when sudden braking is required.
