Yet it has impressively low fuel economy: combined average fuel economy is 25.1 mpg. Compressed graphite iron is used for strength, lightness and noise absorption characteristics, and meticulous attention has been paid to reducing sources of engine noise and encasing those that remain. With noise intrusion reduced by up to 75 percent, the hushed interior offers even greater sanctuary from the tumult of the outside world.
