Before its first hands-free use in the Freelander 2, the phone must be "paired" with the vehicle (please refer to user vehicle handbook or contact your dealer for information on how to do this). This is a simple process to authorise data transmission between the phone and the phone module, which is unique to each car. Up to 5 phones can be paired and stored in the
Bluetooth® phone system´s memory.
Features of the
Bluetooth® system (dependent on phone handset capability) include:
• automatic muting of the audio system
• calls routed through the vehicle´s audio system
• access through the audio display and controls to functions including;
o call accept / reject / secrecy / end
o last ten calls made, received or missed
o phone book memory search
o voice dialling
o voicemail
o ringer volume
o number dialling via preset buttons
