When an illegal movement of the vehicle fitted with the Land Rover Watch takes place, it triggers a silent alert to the Land Rover Watch Monitoring Service. The Monitoring Service contacts the vehicle owner to confirm whether a theft has taken place. Should the vehicle be confirmed as stolen then tracking begins immediately using GPS and GSM technologies and the police are informed to activate retrieval. The system has its own independent power source and so will work even if the car´s battery is disconnected.
