Child Seats
CHILD SEATS
From 18 September 2006 you must use the correct car seat for your child. Children under 3 years of age MUST use the correct child restraint appropriate for their weight. Rear facing child seats MUST NOT be used in a passenger seat protected by an active airbag. A child from their 3rd birthday up to 135cm in height (approximately 4ft 5ins) or 12th birthday (whichever they reach first) must use the appropriate child seat according to their weight. For children over 135cm and aged 12 or 13 years the vehicle´s seat belt must be worn.

Important note:
It is the driver´s legal responsibility to make sure that children under 14 years of age use child restraints or wear seat belts as appropriate.
ISOfix
The ISOfix system anchors the child seat directly to the car so you don´t need to use seat belts. This allows less room for error when fitting and the reassurance of greater protection. Land Rover approved ISOfix child seats regularly attain the coveted Euro NCAP 4 star protection rating in real vehicle crash tests.

Notes
• Never place a rear facing child seat in front of an airbag.
• Land Rover strongly recommends the safest place for children is in the rear and that your infant travels rear facing for as long as their physical development allows.
• It is always safest to travel with children under the age of 12 in a suitable child restraint seat. If you have no other option than installing a forward facing child seat on the front passenger seat, you must ensure the vehicle´s seat cushion is in its lowest and rearmost position.
• Please consult your Owner´s Handbook or look on www.thinkroadsafety.gov.uk for more information about travelling safely with your children.
