Level 1 Vehicle Recovery
If things do go wrong and vehicles become stranded, it's essential that operators understand how to recover them safely and cost-effectively. LRE's one day Level 1 Vehicle Recovery course covers the principles of on-road and off-road vehicle recovery and includes the practical application of a wide range of rope and strap techniques for both self-recovery and third party vehicle recovery.
Level 2 Vehicle Recovery
Our Level 2 Advanced Vehicle Recovery course provides extensive hands-on experience of more advanced recovery techniques. These include Kinetic Energy Rope Recovery – potentially invaluable yet hazardous in equal measure – as well as the use of air jacks and high lift jacks to extricate more severely stranded vehicles.
Level 3 Vehicle Recovery
In addition, we offer a range of Level 3 Specialist Vehicle Recovery courses, including Flood Recovery Techniques, Casualty Extraction and Rolled Vehicle Recovery and Advanced Self Recovery Techniques.

Level 1 Winch Handling
LRE's Level 1 Winch Handling course equips operators with the health and safety awareness and practical skills to help them perform safe winch recoveries in many common situations. Course content ranges from an appreciation of the design and maintenance of winching equipment to the principles of different winch-recovery configurations, with the majority of the course dedicated to providing delegates with practical experience of real-world winch operation. As a registered LANTRA Awards training provider, LRE can also offer a LANTRA Awards Winch Operators course based on a this syllabus.
Level 2 Winch Handling
Our Level 2 Advanced Winch Handling course builds on the knowledge acquired in the Level 1 course with hands-on experience of the winch recovery of stranded vehicles from a wide range of challenging situations. Our instructors use their experience to coach and guide delegates to acquire an in-depth understanding of practical, real-world winching techniques and substantially increase their operational confidence. Winching is a diverse topic so the content of this course is frequently tailored to meet operational needs of our customers.
