Professional driver training
Businesses are obliged to train employees in the correct use of work-related equipment, so if your staff may need to drive off-road, tow a trailer or simply help recover a stranded colleague, the emphasis is on the employer to ensure they are appropriately trained. LRE offer a range of formally certificated professional user courses, from off-road vehicle and ATV (quad bike) driving (also available as LANTRA qualifications if required) to on- and off-road towing, specialist vehicle recovery techniques, winching and even first aid.
Off-road driving
Our standard off-road driving courses can be certificated and meet UK health and safety training requirements, but unlike LANTRA courses these can be tailored to address your day-to-day requirements.
Introduction to off-road driving
This course introduces the fundamental skills and techniques required for safe progress in off-road or difficult conditions. Learn how to assess obstacles, and then use your new driving knowhow to tackle different terrains while preventing damage to the vehicle or the environment.
Intermediate
This course introduces the same techniques as you will learn in the introductory course, but with the added benefit of extended practical driving time, which we believe is the best way of increasing your confidence and capability.
Advanced
The advanced course builds on the techniques learnt during the intermediate course. Here the emphasis is on making progress and introduces the recovery techniques to use if things go wrong. This course is ideal for anyone who needs to understand how to tackle challenging terrains where progress is essential.
Winching and vehicle recovery
A vehicle mounted winch is a versatile tool which can be used in a variety of different scenarios, and our courses will show you how to use winches effectively and safely. Learn how to pay in and out correctly, straight, angled and double line pulls, and how to care for and maintain your winch. You'll take on our most challenging tracks, where driving without a winch is impossible.
