A UNIQUE DEFENDER FOR RUGBY WORLD CUP 2015

The Rugby World Cup 2015 Defender is a custom Land Rover, designed and built by our Special Vehicle Operations team. This unique vehicle will have the honour of transporting the Webb Ellis Cup all over the UK and Ireland on an epic journey, accompanied by some of the sport's greatest legends. On the final day of the Trophy Tour, it will carry the Webb Ellis Cup to the Rugby World Cup 2015 opening ceremony at Twickenham, London on 18th September.

Embellished gold stitching on Black Windsor Leather seats with Trophy Tour embroidered headrests.

BESPOKE EXTERIOR

Rugby World Cup graphics accompany broader 16” off road tyres, spotlights, and side and rear steps.

From the illuminated trophy cabinet at the back to its luxury interior, every aspect of this unique and special vehicle has been carefully engineered to provide the ultimate platform for the Webb Ellis Cup as it travels around the UK.

THE BIG REVEAL

During the build up to Rugby World Cup 2015, our giant rugby ball travelled up the River Thames, from Tilbury Docks to Butler’s Wharf. On 22nd May 2015, we revealed our unique Rugby World Cup Defender. World Cup winner Lewis Moody drove the one off Defender out of the giant rugby ball and was met by 2003 World Cup winning Captain, Martin Johnson.
